Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use NVC Books (“the Service”). Northvis is a sole proprietorship at 402 Garden Heights, New Garden Town, Lahore 54000, Pakistan (“Northvis”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

NVC Books is bookkeeping software for online sellers:

• it imports Etsy statements, either uploaded as CSV files or read through Etsy's API with your permission;
• it records costs, expenses and payments;
• it calculates profit per shop and per month, and shares it between the parties you set up;
• it produces reports and statements.

The Service is currently offered as early access. Features may change, and some may be unavailable while we develop them.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 and using the Service for business purposes. Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done by people you invite to it. Tell us straight away at info@northvis.com if you think your account has been misused.

3. Connecting Etsy

Connecting an Etsy shop is optional. When you connect one, you authorise us to read that shop's data from Etsy with the permissions you approve on Etsy's website. You confirm that you own the shop or are authorised to connect it. You can revoke access at any time, in the Service or in your Etsy account settings.

Etsy is a third party. We are not responsible for Etsy's services, their availability or any change Etsy makes to them. The Service is not endorsed or certified by Etsy, Inc.

4. Your data

You own the data you put into the Service or connect to it. You give us permission to use it only as needed to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export your records at any time.

If the Service handles your buyers' personal data for shipping labels or dropship orders, we process it on your behalf and only on your instructions. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to share it with us and with any supplier you name. On request, we will enter into a data processing agreement with you.

5. Not professional advice

The Service is a tool that calculates figures from the data you provide. It does not give accounting, tax, legal or financial advice. You are responsible for checking your figures and for your own tax filings. Consult a qualified accountant where you need one.

6. Acceptable use

Do not:

• misuse the Service or try to access data that is not yours;
• interfere with the Service's security or operation;
• use it for anything unlawful;
• resell it without our written agreement.

7. Fees

Early access is currently free of charge. Before any paid plan applies to you, we will show you the price and ask you to agree to it. If a paid subscription lapses, your account becomes read-only rather than being deleted, so you keep access to your history and can export it.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. If we ever discontinue the Service as a whole, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and a way to export your data.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows:

• the Service is provided “as is”;
• we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data;
• our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in that period.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using the Service and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. Where reasonable, we will warn you first. On closure, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. The courts of Lahore have jurisdiction, unless the law of the country where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.

12. Changes to these terms

If we make a material change, we will email account holders at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that date, you accept the new terms.
